Baylor University (Baylor) offers MBA students the exceptional resources of a premier institution recognized worldwide for academic quality, superior teaching, and a reputation for graduating persons of both competence and character. Embedded throughout each MBA class are foundational themes: serving the community, working in teams, and respecting global relationships. Chief among them, however, is the thread of ethics and responsible behavior.
Business ethics is not just an elective course. It's woven throughout Baylor's MBA program in case studies, surveys, and case studies. By encouraging insightful discussions, faculty members cover ethics in a way that is appropriate, relevant, and timely.
Highlights
The adage is true: the best way to learn something is through practice. It is the concept behind Baylor's corporate-alliance practicum known as the Focus Firm class. Students research, critically assess, and recommend viable solutions to an identified dilemma for an actual business. Students play an integral role in a functioning business environment. Baylor MBAs also practice their skills by giving back as volunteers for the Prison Entrepreneurship Program. The MBAs teach inmates the skills needed to run their own businesses once released from prison. Both students and inmates emerge from this experience immensely changed for the better.
Accreditation
Students can specialize in healthcare administration by taking the core MBA courses plus eight healthcare courses and working in a seven-month paid residency, which allows them to employ classroom skills in a progressive medical organizational setting.
